Default Finally my car is drivable

Over the last 3 weeks I have been working and waiting for special order parts for slave cylinder, and master cylinder. It thing are nightmare to bleed them. I bled the crap out of it yesterday, it has good pedal pressure . it still did not work. So I was tired and let it sit over night. Today I try to pump the clutch pedal again just to see what happen. I was about to pull the trany out next week. So I try to pump the pedal again and again. Thats sucker finally working and let me shift in gear.

I took the car out filled up some 93 octane gas and test drive the car. I gave a WOT to 3100rpm I see 5-6psi of boost and it spin the tires at 45mph at 3rd gear. That thing is pulling like crazy. Even though my car is not tuned for the 383LT1 stroker. I still using my old 350ci head/cam tune. Also my aeromotive FPR is awsome. my base fuel pressure set at 50psi when I go into WOT it rise the fuel pressure to 60-65psi because it is boost referenced

Man, after many hour of work on the car every weekend since the Winter. I am finally happy and my cogged setup performing to my satisfaction. No vibration what so ever.

I gotta make a new appointment with Shalin to tune my car again. My last appointment with was cancelled due to my clutch slave/master problems.

PS hopefully I will receive my 200hp jet from TByrne Motorsport before going to see Shalin.

Hi Tony
How is your ride coming along?? I really want to see some hp# on your monster blown motor.

I will definately doing some video on the dyno. I have been driving my car last yrs with the Junk ATI 6rib serpentine drive setup. I cannot tell how a supercharged car feel like because it was not able to make boost and hold there.

Now I got a cogged setup and the belt can no longer be slip when I go in WOT I will see boost. Now I know a high hp supercharged car are can be very dangerious if you are not carefull. I was only at 3100rpm under boost 5-6psi all the sudden the tires broke loose. Can you a magine if the car are tuned and you shift it at 6000rpm under a load of hp and release the clutch.

Hi Bruce.. no radiator for me yet...

I'd love to see some pictures of your cog set up.. I'm probably headed that way as well.. Do you have two separate belts, or did you get a cog pulley on all of your accessories...? Can't wait to see it on the dyno..!!!!

I use 2 belts. The cog belt is strictly for the blower by itself and the factory serpentine remain the same. Here is a pic of cogged balancer with 6 groove to drive the factory 6 rib serpentine belt.

I bet you have to have perfect alignment for your blower and balancer to keep that cogged belt from walking around. Does the blower pulley have sides on it or is just like the balancer in the picture?

That's a good looking pulley Bruce!!!!!! Did you make that... cutting those cog teeth isn't easy... Is that an actual balancer or a solid hunk of aluminum? Looks real good...!!!!!

it is made out of T7075 billet aluminum, it is extremely light and is very strong material. I did not make it all on my own. It involved a few people that helped me., Programming the CNC machine and grind a custom tooling to cut the teeth. The balancer is made on a big MAZACk CNC machine. Cutting the teeth is a mess because of coolant. It was done on the manual milling machine. If it is done the CNC milling machine than it would be easyto do. But in no way I can get time for the CNC milling machine to do it for me. because they always have job are running all the time.

Man Bruce, I can't twist your arm to start a small production of those pulleys / cog setups could I?

I'd love to get a set made but I don't have the aptitude or machine shop contacts to get it done. Even throwing money at it may not helpful.

Would bringing the CAD drawings into a machine shop help or would I still need to understand them to direct the shop?

Honestly, I have no desire to go thru that again. Because I have to rely on few people that is involve in making it. If I could do it all on my own, than I probably would make batch of it. Sorry.

If you are seriously interested, you can contact TJWong. You gotta understand it is not gonna be cheap to make it.

My cog belt is off 1984-1988 Toyota/Celica supra timeing belt.
TJWong 's cog belt is off a 1990 Toyota camry.
