Default Aeromotive External Rugulator pic within

Here is a shot of the Aeromotive external regulator and and rail mount regulator.

I am still running a two feed lines thru a NOS Y inlet of the regulator and a Y oulet of the regulator.

the below pic is much nicer but the rail mount FPR is to small and cannot control the twin pump with twin feed line.

Chris
The Aeromotive external mount regulator cost $131 from Summit. It cheaper than the rail mount one. The rail mount I paid $156. I previsously has a 255lph Holley fuel pump in tank. And a 255lph inline pump.

I got rid of the255lph in line pump. I than plumb a 2nd pick up and 2nd in tank fuel pump, GSS340M with 90* bulkhead and connect with a -06AN braided line thru a Russell high pressure fuel filter and connect to the NOS Y to the regulator inlet and a Y outlet to the rail.

I bought a Painless electric fuel pump wiring harness with a 30amp relay. I connect the hot wire to the alternator and a 12v ignition switch. My 2nd pump will be running all the time. I have a option to put a on/off switch or put a MSD RPM activation switch at a predetermine RPM.

You will need to drill 2 hole at the sending unit. 1 for the flare unions AN fitting and the 2nd hole is for the 30amp relay wire to go thru the sender unit and seal it off with JB weld. I ground the 2nd pump to the 1st pump ground.

Bruce,
that sounds similar to what i am planning, but i was thinking about using the existing return line as the secondary feed line and bring it all the way to the front of the car to the external regulator and utilize the dual feed inputs. then plumb in a new return line the same size or a little bigger. i would likely add a feed tube in the correct location of the filler neck bracket above the new fuel pump to make the installation cleaner and use the existing return inlet tube as just that, the return tube.

do you have any pictures of how you moubnted the secondary pump in the tank? i was thinking of fabbing up a second holding bracket to the existing pump bracket to hold them next to each other and still allow the bracket to be removed and replaced in the tank without any fitment issues. lemme know what you think1

Chris I will send you pics of my twin pump. Everything inside the tank is space limited. The tank has a small sump. Therefore twin pump will not fit inside the sump. Only single pump sit in the sump, the 2nd pump I kinda tilt the pick up to a angle so that the sender unit will seat in, if you don't do that the sander will not seat in because the the 2nd pump will hit the sump side wall.
