Default "safe" boost with this setup?

How much boost do you think I can run with this set up, before BOOOM?

355 2 bolt main
Scat 9000 Series Cast Crankshaft
Scat 4340 Forged I-Beam Rods with ARP 7/16" Cap Screw Bolts
SRP Forged Flat top pistons 10.0:1 comp
Lt4 hotcam
afr 190cc heads
lt1 intake
hooker headers

Should be good to around 420hp N/A.

My goal will be 500hp with the supercharger.

thanks

you will get your 500 mark no problem on this setup. the only thing i see that is not in boost interest is the CR. but the 10.1 is better then stock. I would try getting there without spinning the motor too hard, but the forces of boost on the bottom end are not as bad as most first assume. as long as you can get the fuel and spark tuning nailed and run on the safe side, I htink you could hit 8-10 pounds of intercooled boost on that setup and she would live a long fun life. just be sure the fuel system is up to snuff, and don't get greedy!

Have AFR build the heads with 65 or 70cc chambers, go with 10 PSI and you wouldn't have any problems getting 500+ RELIABLE HP with that combo.

Dropping to 8.5 or 9:1 would be beneficial especially if you are building this motor now and have not ordered your heads yet. AFR would build the heads to your specs.

I have a friend of mine that made 560 on a 355 with 8 PSI with a Vortec T trim and an custom intercooler. His cam was slightly larger than a HOT cam. Your main problem will be belt slippage once you hit that 8 PSI range of boost. This a problem that most C4 owners with blowers will face. I fixed mine with a custom designed cogged belt setup.

I asked this very same question once but I'll be damned if I can find it in the archives. I do remember it wasn't as much as I though it would be, maybe 15-20HP?
