Default Here is a good supplier for SC hoses

Just wanted to post that I had my second good experience with these folks. First time I needed 4" tubing to relocate the air filter for my ATI. Now I needed to get a longer tube for the intercooler when I changed hose routing.

I went with the silicone stuff. Holds up really well. Not cheap, but will give you enough to last a life time.

I know people have said that you can get this stuff at tractor trailer repair centers, but the ones around me just give me blank stares.

Does it kink if you flatten it out alittle? The stuff looks easy to run! Thanks for the link.

Anti,

No, it does not seem to kink. Has an internal wire that keeps it shape. You can pull the wire out and bend the end so it will not puncture the tube. Then it is easy to slip on and clamp down. Seems like tought stuff. Definately resistent to heat too. Easy to snake around tight quarters. Much better flexibility than the stuff ATI supplies. Pretty abrashion resistant, but if it rubs against anything sharp it will cut it.

What kind of clamps are you using on this stuff???

THe wires on the ducting look like it would prevent the clamps from being easy to work with.

I used regular screw clamps. This wire in this hose can be pulled out and cut, leaving you a section as large as you want that is just hose. Then it is easy to snug down.

When you cut the wire, bend it into a small loop so that the sharpe end will not tear the hose.

Is it smooth on the inside or can you feel the wires? Just wondering if it was enough to cause any turbulence in the air flow or not?

The wires are exposed internally, so they can be easily removed to get the host ends over the fittings.
