Default ECM programming for 90 - L98

Is there a programmer one can buy to program the PROM in 1990 L-98? Or do you need to get it burned by one of the pro shops? Is so, does anyone have any recommendation? Cost?

Thanks in advance

Back when I used to do the factory ECMs, the best pro shop that I found was Formato Faster Proms (Eileen & Jeremy Formato). They continue the legacy of the late Jim Formato.

Check this thread out if you want to do it yourself. There is a link to the thirdgen.org website where there is lots of information on how to burn your own proms and where to get all the hardware to do it.

If you don't want to then check out Formatto, they used to do LPEs chip tuning when Jim Formatto was around. Jeremy his son has taken over the operation and is doing well with it.

Tunercat has the software neccisary for the job. If you use a rom-emulator they have software to tune it Real time with your laptop. Then you just buy a $100 prom burner for the final calibration. Go to TUNERCAT.COM
