I got a 1984 corvette with a 86 suburban engine thats been bored and rebuilt, it is a 4 bolt main with 2k on it. I got rid of crossfire and now going to have 600crm eld carb with alum eld intake with a fuel regulator, and tv bracket and lock up kit, and K&N cleaner and filter. Now my engine is not built up a lot but i was told after the rebuild it has about 250-280hp, now i was wondering since this is not built up is it ok to go with 100 shot? Also will this mess up my trans or engine in any way? Also if its ok for me to get a NOS kit for my vette should i get dry or wet shot?
thanks

I dont see that this is the place for this. The kid had a question about NOS and we shouldnt get things off track like this AGAIN. Lets try and just keep things on the topic! :nono:

Their is a lot of things that will determine weather or not it is safe to use N20 on your car. The tranny shouldn't have a problem taking the extra power, as long as you don't spray through the shifts. A window switch will activate and deactivate the flow of N20 at preset RPM's. You could set it to come on at 3,000 at turn off 200 rpm's before your shift point. Just about any healthy V8 can take a 100 shot safely, but it's not 100% certain. Being able to supply the fuel is a big part of N20. Will your fuel pump handle the extra demand?
With a Carb set-up it is almost impossible to go with a dry kit. You will most likely have to use a plate/fogger system that installs between the carb and inatke. You might run into hood clearance issues with a C4.
The safest way to do it is to install everything and try it for the first time on a dyno with a wideband. Start with the smallest jets you can find, and work up to what you are shooting for. If the A/F ratio ever gets leaner than about 13.5:1, shut it down.
