Hood Louvers
Who had hood louvers on there car? i am thinking of getting some for 2 reasons...one to make a cold air induction on my procharger run a huge air filter then build a shield around it up to the hood louver to pull fresh cold ambient air. also on the other side will be to pull air out and get some of that heat out of my hood? Here is the link for thoe louvers?
I really didnt want to change my stock hood and look all euro'd out but if it helps then i am going with it and when i am done i will tell you guys what i think?
I do drive my car everyday but only on nice days but in winter i will have it parked! :D
thanks Kevin

Re: Hood Louvers (krivera)
I am thinking the same thing for my procharged 85, but $200 is a bit stiff for me. Im searching for something easier on the wallet, maybe molding my own. Good luck-

I have 280zx turbo hood vents that Im in the process of installing only cost me $20 and has a naca like duct on the driver side will prob have it molded in then redo my whole car though still trying to find the time, I like the greenwood ones but am not will to give up the greenbacks either

Re: Hood Louvers (GRX)
Has anyone here installed these louvers? Is it hard???
And they do let a lot of heat out. I've looked at trying to figure out how to get cooler air into the filter with them, but it doesn't look too likely without major mods.
Next I'm looking into their hoodscoop-open it up front and back; and then cut out the hood underneath the scoop-should make a functional/effective heat extractor hood scoop then!?

Wouldn't that get alot of water on the engine during rain or washing? Is that safe?
