Vortech V1 T-Trim install
Hello guys, Im very excited to start installing a Vortech V1 T-Trim on my 93 corvette, I wanted to ask you guys a few questions before I actually start digging into it this week.
First, I need a replacement belt.. It appears I have a 3.5in pulley (is this factory from vortech?)
Second, I am replacing my opti at the same time + a electric water pump, I figured at this point I would install small cam so a LT4 hotcam is going in as well. On that note Im curious if anyone would advise installing it with some advance or retard, I know this isnt really a idle boost cam but I would like the lope at idle and it still better then the factory lt1 cam thats in it.
and my last question, I have seen carrols supercharger backets first hand and they are wonderful, but after the parts I need to do this build I would break bank adding the bracket. So I was wondering if anyone has ever altered their vortech supercharger backet for the extra idler pulley that helps reduce belt slip. I am not exactly clear on how this makes the belt install/uninstallable with the blower on but I would much rather be able to service the belt without having to R&I the supercharger each time.
Thanks!
Btw I plan to tune with Ostrich 2.0

The bracket is a non caroll item and the extra pulley can be added where you want. I bet you could send in you bracket and have it done at carrol. He will A 3.5 pulley will give somewhat of a low boost with the proper ATI Superdampner pry around 4-5 lbs. Carrol also Has mail order tune for Ya as a starting point. Did you see carroll's download secrion? yet. Well worth the effort

This might help
No promises, it's been a long time.
If available try a DAYCO belt 5080530 this belt is 52&1/2 inches long.
You may need a slightly longer belt.
The Vortech in line pump was inadequate to supply the system. Suggest you consider a larger in tank pump.
I was under the impression an electric Fuel pump interfered with the Vortech installation. Please let me know if I'm wrong.
When it's time to spend more $$$ Auto specialties produces an 8 rib system with a 7.60 crank pulley (8 rib).
Best of luck!!
