Default Any SC for an 86 that's still "smog legal"?

I looking at putting a sc on my 86 (can never have too much hp!).
But....it looks like they all eliminate the smog pump!
Am I wrong on that? I'd probably convert to sd or even a sy ty ecm with 2 bar map to run it; and keep emissions clean out the tailpipe. But for visual it's gotta have a smog pump, and I wouldn't want to tear it apart every two years....
Thanks for any info!

The ATI kit has an air fitting after the SC which connects to the original smog pump hose; it siphons off a small amount of boost which blows into the exhaust manifolds / catalytic convertor. Works just like the original smog pump. I believe the system is certified 50-state legal.

I am not possitive about the old paxton kit, but the ATI is not smog legal in ca on the L-98's for the visual.
the vortech kit put together by carroll is not legal in ca either.

I'm not real concerned with the sc not having eo #'s for visual(I can squeek by there!)-just that I can still retain the smog pump to satisfy the "spirit" of the smog check.......
gcrouse-so you do have that setup on yours???? And it works for the air injection? Hmmmm, what about during non-boost operation?

Well the SC is always blowing air so it's fine as an AIR injection source. Only when SC airflow output exceeds the engine's NA volumetric efficiency does it actually make boost; but it's still blowing air even at low rpm.

Actually I never hooked up my AIR injection and never had any emissions trouble. A well programmed computer using O2 sensor feedback plus MSD (or similar) ignition should not have unburned HC exiting the cylinders anyway. Except possibly when you're foot's to the floor under full boost with a slightly rich mixture to avoid detonation- but they don't test for that.

The other thing the AIR injection does is warm up the catalytic converters so they start working sooner after starting from cold; so just make sure you've driven a while so those things are hot when you go for the test.

A pair of hi-flow cats is the only emissions stuff I have, and it passes the IM240 dyno test (which is supposedly similar to CA) real clean. Biggest factors are a reasonable cam and proper ECM tuning.
