vvv90,
I would guess in the neighborhood of about 420 HP, which would probalby put you in the mid 12's. The main problem Ihave is getting the power to the ground... Irun consistant 4.7 0-60's but I'm smoking tires through 2nd gear. My car with an LT1 the back end is like 1560 lbs. I've been hampered by the knock retards approching 3-5 degrees, I have opted to install the ATI intercooler.

My setup is similar to your except I'm running about 8 pounds. I'm thinking i'm around 430 horse possibly on the conservative side... I am installing the intercooler as we speak so it will be interesting to see what a difference it makes.. possible 475... with full advance and no knock retard.

Hope this helps... you may want to invest in a logging program it is VERY helpful in giving you an idea of where your at with out having to dyno right away...

Mo

Thanks! But only mid 12's ??? I would think low 12's. Afterall, the Z06 runs mid 12's with 20 less HP, and the new PIG-of-a-car SVT Cobra w/ 390 will run mid to high 12's.

How much would a set of drag radials--315's out back help?

Traction is everything when it comes to making good times. You can have 800 horsepower, but if you don't have traction you can run 14's.

I agree you could probably hit low twelves... hope so in fact! I was being conservative as we are dealing hypotheticals not knowing exactly what HP you are making.

I was passing on my experience , which Vette 92 also added... Based on your setup being similar to mine, I have major traction issues, and I'm assuming you will face the same situation perhaps even more so than I since you are running even more boost.

Drag radials, 315's are about 200 a piece for a set of Kumo's. I've looked into that as well... I'd be interested in knowing how much difference they make please let me know

Once you get some numbers I'd love to see them good luck on your project!

Mo

with good driving , and 315's in back, very high 11's is not out of reach.. i've seen some local guys at the track 3.07 gears, an roughly 420 rwhp hitting 12 flats... :jester

High 11's, that would be incredible. Here's what I'll do. Since I just got my Kd's recently and I'm pretty sure my wheels are 9.5's I'll install the s/c, go to the track and then get some 315's and run the track again. I'll be posting my time differences with the drags.

Thanks for the info. guys. I know traction is important, I was just looking for personal experience differences w/ numbers. I'll make some myself I guess.
