Re: Which cam with a Supercharger??? (CarNDrvr)
|
Very good advise from all the replies, I just have one more to add. Even though your supercharged and forcing the air into the engine, it's still important to know how the heads flow and at what lift, when deciding on the right cam, this is especially important in weather to go with 1.5 or 1.6 ratio. Also if the cam you are currently using needs more help on the exhaust side you might try 1.6's on the exhaust and 1.5's the intake.
I found a cam that has worked very well for me, I am running AFR 190 heads and the engine displaces 383 ci. The cam is made by Crane under the wolverine brand, its a hyd. roller 224/232 @ .50 with .490/.510 lifts and 115 centerline.
8.5 to 1, 7 lbs of boost, 50 lb injectors, mini ram intake. so far 570 rwhp 580 torque.
