Default To those of you that bought ATI intercoolers....

I see that a lot of people are running the ATI intercooler for their Vortech setup. My questions are, has anyone installed the ATI LT-1 front mount intercooler, on their L98 or non-intercooled supercharger kits? Does the intercoolers come with all of the necessary piping, or are their seperate pipes to buy?

Also, what is the size difference between 2 core and 3 core? I know the LT-1 ATI intercooler is bigger than the L98, so is the L98 a 2 core and the LT-1 a 3 core? I am most interested in the front mount setup on the LT-1s, and would like to use that intercooler for my single turbo setup.

Any info is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Paul

Hmm I just got mine (intercooler) and it didn't have any hoses after waiting almost 2 months for it... nothing in the box but peanuts.. no directions (like I would really need them) but it would be nice to know whether I have to cut through the panel to allow more air to pass through...HEH

They really have me fuming...

how much did you pay for the intercooler? Is this the LT-1 3 core front mount intercooler?

Paul, is the turbo project actually moving forward?
A single? where would that go?
how are you going to get the other exhaust bank to it?

Bill, yeah it looks like it is going to go through. I have decided to do a single turbo instead of a twin turbo, because of the limited room underneath the hood. The turbo will sit on the driver's side just like where the vortech, ATI, paxton, kits sit. The manifolds we are using are stock ported LT-1 manifolds flipped upside down on the drivers side. On the passenger side we will also use the LT-1 manifold with a cross over pipe routed underneath to connect to the driver's side manifold. I decided to go single because I want to keep the AC, I want the steel blue to be in full street trim and running 9s. I will keep you guys updated on this as it progress.

Paul

I ordered it through superchargers online.... it cost me $1034 they told me it was a system... to me a system includes hoses etc.

After I waited the 2 months for the arriive... it was only the intercooler. I called superchargersonline back and asked where the hoses were... they told me ot call ATI.. now is that customer service or what?

Superchargersonline has my money so thay could care less...

Sorry i'm venting here. but they told me it was the complete system...

~ puts away soap box~
