Default Procharger install help, loosing my mind

Ok first off i want to say that the procharger install instructions are mother ****ing ********. With its ****** *** pictures and vague instructions.

Now onto my problem. There is no way that the supercharger inlet duct or hat is fitting because its contacting the fan. How the hell do i get this to fit. I tried trimming the fan but after looking at it i would have to trim so much i would be afraid to use the fan. How did everyone else get around this.

Someone please help.

Yep I had similar issues with my vortech install.http://forums.corvetteforum.com/memb...c2-132677.html

I ended up just cutting enough of the shroud away to make it fit without taking any fan blade off.
if you look at the guys thread of "supercharging a c4 corvette _ about 2 or 3 down from your posting look at what he went thru, ended up getting a custom radiator built so he moved everything forward to have the air intake it. The Install is APITA but well worth it. took me 2 months on and off

Now I think about it though I was too cheap to buy a new intake tube and used this "High Hat" Tube and made it work, the tube provided with the kit may have well fit. Good luck- take your time- get pissed leave it alone for a while come back fresh, before taking a hammer to the car.

I had to hack up the shroud on my vortech install a while back. I just bought an extra if I ever sell the car or take the blower off. I think it cost me $20 or so. It's a pain to get those things to fit!

Hi All ! If for whatever you decide to use my ProCharger bracket with dedicated 8 rib belt drive the blower is moved forward 1" making the inlet air simpler. greg
