Default Is 10:1 too high for a 200 shot with a complete forged bottom end?

looking at building a monster small block and spraying 200 on top!
is a 10:1 compression too high for this
forget what my sig says.......
Eagle 4340 forged 400 crank
Eagle 4340 forged H beam rods 6.00"
JE forged pistons yielding a 10:1 compression
anything else i need to worry about? and will it work?

That bottom end will handle a 200 shot.

I know stock LT-1's that have handled 150HP shots easily. A 200 shot on an all forged motor (the real way to build a motor) should be fine. Hell, I bet you could go with a 300 shot, as long as you could supply the needed fuel.

Just be sure you have enough fuel(fuel octane as well) and your ignition is up to par!

That ought to make for one hell of a ride!

I thought of shooting some NOS in to mine from time to time...but it's the one power adder I haven't toyed with for some reason. Can't get myself to do it.

Good luck.

I only have 2 things to say to you........
1. you only live once
2. BABY STEPS

start out with a 50 shot and work your way up from there.....EVERY LITTLE BIT HELPS
and i have ridden in a rocket that had nitrous on it, and she was downright scary! 440 mopar, 411 ford 9" 150-175 shot with dual quads......DAMN!
that car was insane!!!!! but.....way COOL!!!!

If you are going over a 150, seriously consider direct port Nitrous injection.
