When I activate my N2O system, it actually feels like I'm Losing power. How can that be? I know the nitrous is being injected into the engine. That is, if the tank was really filled with Nitrous Oxide to begin with. ????????????
If you have a wet kit, double check your nozzles and jets. If you have them reversed, you will be flooding your motor. It's an easy mistake to make, and fix.
Can't find what is causing my lose of power. I only have a .037 (50hp)jet in stage one and a .042 (75hp) jet in stage 2. ????????????? It actually has less power than if I hadn't used the N2O at all. Something very strange going on.
$3.70 lb. here (Hummelstown, Pa.), by the way.
As long as the nozzle is facing the motor, it shouldn't be a problem. And the advice about moving it away from the motor, allowing the nitrous to mix, is good advice.
Remove the nos line from the nozzle turn on key arm system press on throttle switch see if it blow nos sounds like pluged line or solenoid if this is new system and has never worked you have a blockage did you use tape on threads this is a no-no on the nos side of the system. also check ground on the solenoid. You are getting gas and no nos. Let us know what you find. :seeya
The nitrous comes out with the engine off, the switch on and the wot switch activated, just like it should. Completely baffled. It should work. I can't figure out where i'm getting the power lose or why. Must take it for a dyno check to see how my fuel/air is doing.

If the nitrous came out of the line then the nozzle must be pluged because the only way it could slow down is to be way rich.
When the system activates the injectors are injecting more fuel but without the nitrous it is way rich check everything again it is pluged somewhere. Wish you lived close to me I"m sure I could fix it in just a few minutes. Good luck.

I'm completely stumped!!! Let us know what you find out or if you have any new info for us.
update---- had the car dynoed. It showed that up to 100 hp n2o the car worked fine. After 100 hp my computer sensed a lean condition and dumped tons of fuel into the engine causing my lose of power. Now, what to do about this problem? Why is my computer over reacting? The guy at the dyno shop said that I should go wet and inject fuel into the air intake so the computer won't get that lean condition. Isn't fuel in the air intake dangerous? I guess I'll start out with very small jets and work my way up.
My goal is 200 hp.
All intakes prior to fuel injection had a mixture of fuel and air pass through it so, it's not a big deal to use a wet system. I actually prefer the wet system.
I'll have to think about why your computer is leaning out the car, it's an interesting problem.
