Default MSD Digital6 problem solved *You will not believe the solution*

I posted this in the C4 performance but I wanted to post it here because you guys offered my the only advice. Thanks!

I have posted several article about how I have been trying to get my digital 6 to work with my car. It was very simple to install (quick harness) but I could not get the darn thing to provide a better spark or make more power. The car was actually slower and less responsive.

I am getting to the solution... first of all I would like to thank all who offered help, the recommendation were good but the problem was fixed by a very simple yet looked overlooked fact.

I called MSD and told the tech guy(Vic) about all that I had done. Right off the bat he told me the solution, I went home and did it, and WOW!

I HAD TO DISCONNECT THE BATTERY(BOTH TERMINALS)and any power keeper(like the little battery operated lighter module-- for keeping your radio channels when disconnecting the battery) everything has to be juiced down for at least 30 mins, allowing the computer to reset and then make the adjustments for more spark by allowing more fuel!

I was running too lean with the MSD. the car was not making up (providing fuel) for the enhanced amount of spark going through.

Thanks goodness I did not spray it. The lean condition is very dangerous for Nitrious!!! I hope this helps someone. THe digital 6 is really good and simple to install just remember to reset the computer afterwards or the car will think it is running under the old setup! :jester

Hey:

Do you know the part number for the digital 6 system that will fit the corvette. I believe there is a harness that just plugs in.

Thanks

I installed my 6al under my right headlight. It fits nice and is very cool there.
I put the retard box under the left headlight. works great.
