Hi,
Since no one has chimed in yet, I can tell you that recently we had
one possible defect. Customers car died and he suspect it could be the Opti, so since it has a one year warranty we just had another one sent out to him. We haven't herd anything from him yet. That is the only one so far after selling a few dozen of them for round 6 month now.
Thanks,
Christian

Happy New Year. This is just one of my experiences. I bought a comp cams cam and installed it and started losing Opti's monthly. Long story short, the pin in the cam was too long. Don't forget to check that with new cams or no Opti will survive. I wish this product was around when I was replacing Opti's.

I was hoping to step into this thread and find first-hand experience from someone who has actually purchased and installed this item. Unfortunately, even the "good quality" opti's (i.e. MSD) has turned out to be crap. Outside of NOS opti's, the general impression is "avoid other units".
Any corvette forum members try this product?
OP- it might be a bit slow on this forum, due to posting in the FI section.

The last time we checked was last year some time and we had sold 36 Opti's and there were 2 warranties. I'm not sure how many we have sold to date, but so far I don't think we have warranties more than 2-3 more. If we were having a big problem with them we would discontinue them.
Thank you,
Christian

Did you know: The name "Corvette" was borrowed from a line of small, fast navy ships used in World War II.

The first generation Corvette was introduced late in the 1953 model year. Originally designed as a show car for the 1953 Motorama display at the New York Auto Show, it generated enough interest to induce GM to make a production version to sell to the public. First production was on June 30, 1953.

The second generation (C2) Corvette, which introduced Sting Ray to the model, continued with fiberglass body panels, and overall, was smaller than the first generation. The C2 was later referred to as mid-years.[19] The car was designed by Larry Shinoda with major inspiration from a previous concept design called the "Q Corvette," which was created by Peter Brock and Chuck Pohlmann under the styling direction of Bill Mitchell.
