Default upgrade a-trim to s-trim

i get mixed answers on this so i thought i would ask here. anyone ever modify an a-trim vortech to an s-trim???

It's a completely different blower, you can't modify an A into an S. You can just swap the headunits and be just fine though. The S or the T will work fine on an L98 or LT1.

yes it can be done. here is my old a-trim impeller



here is my new 928 motorsport s/sc type impeller



here is the inside of the scroll that was cut by Supercharger Rebuild


here it is together


it sounds great, have not road tested it yet.

ok got to drive it today. put 30mi out of the 50mi they say to breakin the new bearings. in the old a-trim form i would see 6-7psi @ 5500rpm. today i saw 5psi @ 3500rpm & 6psi @ 4000rpm. a little more cruising and then i'll see what max boost is. but what a difference down low in the rpms.

took it to 5k rpm saw 8psi, glanced over ay my wb afr guage to see 12.8 quickly let off of it. time for injectors and a tune, ill be calling mr. blowerworks soon.

Now imagine 12 psi (sometimes 14 when it is cold) at 3000 RPM.

WOW i bet that is hard to keep from spinning at any speed. sounds like fun.
