Eventual turbo, electronics upgrade questions??

I have an 86 tpi l98. It currently just has headers and a free flowing exhaust. Over the next year or two I want to build up the parts to do a turbo kit. First I want to get the parts i can use now first. I'll be running 8-11 pounds. anyways the questions.

I want to upgrade my ignition system but I'm not sure what to get. I'm not sure if capacitor discharge works well on hi performance forced induction systems. What parts should i upgrade and which parts have you guys used?
