Default Oil Leak ---- Front of the engine????

Just before heading north for the summer I noticed an oil leak up front. It may very well be the front seal. I don`t beat this thing so I`m not looking at bad rings or a burnt piston. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Possible culprits:

Intake manifold front rail. This is a common leak on L98 and LT1's.

It could be the timing cover gasket, waterpump seal in the cover, or the opti seal on the cover.

Could be the front of the oil pan, sometimes the corners need a dab of silicone on install that most people forget.

Main thing is to try to determine how high up the leak starts.

If it were your front seal, I would think the balancer itself would be oily and it would be slinging oil.

If it looks like a film on the front of the oil pan, it is likely a higher up leak or the oil pan itself.

If your running an electric WP and didn't take the drive out, that's probably it.

Mines leaking like a sieve!
