I could guess, but that would ruin the results.

All i can say is--Hats off to Lcvette

One fantastic project that i have been around from the beginning until now----Chris did a fantastic job---the quality of the work he has done is second to none, and his attention to detail is incredible.

Way to go Chris

OK guys.. here is the UNCORRECTED numbers.. this is what the car made here where I live on the rollers without any influence of standardizing.. this is the amount of power I drive around on everyday.

without further ado here is the graph.. I am out of injector so i will need to wait until I get some 160's in the cra to turn up the boost and see what we can do with it on kill.. this is my 1.87/gallon fuel street tune...

Chris- absolutely awesome man! That is insane. I guess you do have a good "seat-of-the-pants" feel for power. That thing put out about what you expected.

I can't believe this is out of a 355ci! It just always seemed that more cubic inches are typically needed for these levels (I mean even in the c5/c6 forums). That makes it even more impressive.

I am curious to know how you're controlling boost? Are you using a "base" spring in the wastegate, and just using a manual (or electric) boost controller to turn it up? Or swapping springs all the time.

So by going bigger, what exactly do you have in mind?

The ysi and the 78 are comparable.... if only I can get this belt slip thing handled, lol!

It's cool to see what kind of numbers you can post up with that unit. A few years ago I thought about doing some class racing. Their bottom class currently allows, the ysi, f1r or a 80mm turbo setup as power adders. Seeing stuff like this gives me plenty of ammo for bad ideas. Well bad for my wallet at least!

Sorry Brian! god point!

Dyno runs were made on 20psi but boost fell off at the upper Rev where the dip in the graph is to 18psi. that problem should be rectified by the end of the week with the Eboost2 controller.

the build is as follows:

355 Eagle crank/rod forged low compression custom Ross Pistons with L-19 rod bolt upgrade and tapered tool steel piston pins

stage 3 ported trickflow heads runner volume is 220cc's

Edelbrock LT4 intake.. unported as of right now (was ina rush to finish up, I will port it soon)

58mm throttle body

224 224 .570/.570 115lsa cam

AFR Hydrarev kit

cadillac racing lifters

Comp Promag 1.6's

Stainless steel custom manifolds with 2.5" crossover and 3.5" downpipe (Custom fabbed by me)

Precision PT 78 HPS turbocharger

Tial 44mm wastegate (big and Little blue springs installed)

83lb/hr injectors soon to be 160's

Fuelab 42401 pump (1500hp rated)

all custom rails with -10 feed and -8 return

Aeromotive A1000 Regulator

4" intercooler with 3" intercooler piping (aluminum custom Fabbed by me)

MSD 6a

Accel DFI Gen 7 Pro Key w/ DUal Synch Distributor and Wideband

No Lift to Shift Box

315 Nitto Drag Radials (useless in anything besides 4th gear at current boost level)

I am sure there is more but I forget right now! lol

Bill,

Going to a Garret GT4788 turbo 88mm. gonna loose a little spool time.. maybe 4-500 RPM which should put boost peak around 4000rpm but the curve from there will be a hansome bit different. I will be able to tune the boost curve after initial peak to continuously rise until redline where I will have it plateu briefly. I am going to build the ultimate highway top end roller setupo that should trap in the 150's at the strip. I will also be putting a good bit bigger duration camshaft in it and finally gettin around to porting the intake manifold...

gotta get one more dyno session in on this combination for the website on ill and then will begin building the tuner race kit which ought to be a great setup for those who absolutely MUST go with larger cubic inches. in my opinion it is complete overkill but.... I do understand the desire for power.. so I will build it! ( who am I kidding, I can't help myself.. I want to push the LT1 into the 1000rwhp mark on 355 cubic inches!)

Chris
