Default got the tune in.. car is friggin fast!!

well guys.. found the problem.. it was an issue with the serial port on the laptop we were using.. found it by running the aldl test utility available on the TTS Datamaster site.. ran the same test on my desktop, everything passed so I hooked up my desktop to flash my PCM.. worked like a charm!

got the LM-1 hooked up and the base tune I had was very close.. just a little lean under WOT.. sitting right around 12.8-13.1.. gonna get soem scans to see if I have any knock retard, but I backed the timing down in the tune across the board from 4000rpm on to 25*'s.

so far I have not truly stayed in it too redline as I am taking it slow, but to 5500 or so I am seeing about 7-8 pounds of boost in the manifold through ported heads and intake, a 219 lingenfelter cam. full header back catless exhaust.

traction in 1st and 2nd gear is non existent and in third it continuously hazes the tires while accelerating through 5500 where I am granny shifting to fourth. fourth pulls very nice, the power just continuously builds pushing you harder and harder into the seat. I need to run some scans and tweak a few minor things before holding her out through redline and seeing what peak boost comes in at, and one night this week I will finally get the car ont he dyno and see where its at. speculation would be 480-500rwhp comparing it too a similar car with this power margin. all in all it is now a very fun car and I am getting back heavy into the collectors edition.. I made alot of headway this weekend on the turbo project, nothing picture worthy, mainly the little things I had been putting off. now that they are done and out of the way I can focus on some more intercooler plumbing work and finish the DFI wiring and start her on up!

getting excited now!!

smog laws are everywhere..lol but as rarely as we drive these cars, we have not had much of an issue handling the situation when the time comes.

we mainly drive to the track and back, perhaps a cruise once in a while for a car meet or something but other then thatr they are usually in the garage getting wrenched on.
