Default #60 injectors for NA 383 ???????

This totally freaks me out but what I'm being told is that these new SIEMENS Injectors are capable of these flow #s BUT are also able to flow better than smaller injectors at lower rpms and needs etc etc.

Ami being fed a load of or is this siemens injector as much hype as they say. We were planning on running delphi #42 but they're out of stock and wont have them for a while.

What kind of power do you expect to make?

Why can't you use SVO 42's?

expecting around 475-500 rwhp. we were planning on using #42 delphis but his suplier has appeared to have my builder sold on these new Siemens injectors. the delphis are not available from him and i do know that i can purchase them elsewhere. hes insisting these injectors have a super fast pulsewidth or something (not familiar with injectors at all) and a better spray pattern etc..

dont know what to think.. #60 still sounds like serious overkill to me

If you use anything more than SVO 30# 's you are going way overkill. Unless you plan on supercharging it, 30's are fine. I ran 30's on my old 383 (a tad over 400hp) and was not even close to max duty cycle on them at 45 PSI.

I have run the Siemans for many years and they really hold up well. I was suprised that my 84 lb/hrs work so well at an idle. With the new C4SP intake, I am stepping to a bigger injector, so we will see.

60# is a ludicrous amount of injector for 500 RWHP.

The 92 corvette in my sig made those numbers with SVO 30's. at about 48 PSI.

A friend of mine has been to 600 RWHP on a turbocharged Mustang with SVO 50's.

Let us know what you decide to do.

I also posted this in the c4 tech section. didnt mean to post it everywhere just after i first posted here i thought it might get more attention over there.

I guess to sum it up he has convinced me to go with the siemens #60s. Again he understands that its way too big of an injector but seems sold on the fact that racetronix claims it can act just like a #24 injector because of its fast response or opening/closing times. racetronix also says that this injector will perform BETTER than any smaller injector especially because the motor will see higher rpms. I hope he's right.

dont go bigger than 30s if your only plan on making 500 RWHP , my car made more than that with 30s at 50 psi .

It sounds to me like someone is trying to get rid of a set of injectors they can't find a home for.

Seems like a lot of injector for me, I'm running a 396 supercharded pulling 11-12 pounds of boost, and I'm using 60's....

For a NA engine, I think it is too much injector whether it idles well or not....

My 46 dollars...

I've heard that the latest generation of high impedance injectors have better response times and better control at light loads, but it's still 18lbs more than you need. 42's are plenty (well, more than plenty) on engines of this horsepower size, even at very high rpm (7000-7500 rpm). If you weren't hitting really high rpm, even 30's would probably be enough.

I did my research into this. and it appears that these injectors work BETTER than smaller injectors at even low fuel pressure. The response time is 2x faster in many cases even more. this means its able to put out as little fuel is needed. i do agree it is overkill that its 18+ lbs too much.. but if it does the job better than why not eh? i would go smaller but they dont have anything smaller than #55 for these injectors. Most of this info came straight from racetronix.

Currently changed even more specs in the motor now to gundrilled lightweight valves, ti valve locks too and custom valve springs. this puppy should be able to go 8k all day long with a superlight valvetrain and rotating assembly. these injectors are simply the best for super high rpms because of their response times (or so ive been convinced ).

On top of that we're going to install a 200 hit of n20 and bigger injectors can only help
