well.. I am officially addicted to V8 boost.. although I never went past 1/2 throttle, in 3rd gear, a light acceleration from 2500 to 3500 showed about 3-4 pounds of boost instantly and resulted in the 315 summitomo street tires becoming useless. I have an appointment friday at 1pm for the dyno tune and was wise enough to keep my foot out of the throttle and keep everything together prior to it. I can say I think the goal of hitting near or just shy of the 500rwhp mark will be a reality if I can keep the belt from slipping.. the motor woke up completely as the boost/vacuum gauge neared atmospheric and truly came to life with as little as 1-2 pounds of boost.. I think the combination will lend itself nicely to forced induction and will be posting results whether good or bad come friday evening when I finally quit grinning and find time to crawl out of the cockpit and sit myself in front of the computer! just wanted to post an update for those who were following along!
Way to go Chris.. To think I brought the car to you 5 weeks ago to get an X pipe and some mufflers put on. Now there's a professionally installed supercharger and other needed goodies on my "church car". I told mom how much work you did and that I should offer some compensation. She agreed and told me to invite you to dinner. Thanx for a great job.. will come up this weekend.

pop,
dinner huh...lol i may be needing a few things for the silver vette.. nothing extravagent, just little odds and ends like we had to get for your car.. I might get you to help me out with it when the time comes!
I know the feeling the grin is hard to erade and the tires will haze at will
Good luck at the dyno...

well.. tomorrow at 1pm she goes for dyno tuning... I am excited.. took a half day off work and will be there while they dial the new computer in. perhaps I can pick up on a bit of the tuning process with LT1 edit.. I understand the tuning process completely and what needs to be done but have never had the benefit of playing with any of the tuning softwares available for OEM computers.. should be a fun learning experience! I will post up the results after the tuning and have some video to post as well but am not sure how to post video or where to host it so if any of you have some input, let me know and I will make the necessary arrangements!
