Default wiring MSD 6a.. brainfart..

hey guys.. I installed an msd 6a quite some time ago on the 95, I used a harness 8876, but want to hardwire the new msd box in.. my dilema is the instructions show the dual plug coil for GM as having 2 white wires which they want me to tie together and two pink wires.. I have two pink wires, but the only other wire remaining is green? there are 3 wires, the grey colored harness plug contains a green wire and a pink w/black stripe wire.. the black harness plug only has a pink wire in it. what do I do to wire this thing correctly.. i do not want to fry any components by wiring incorrectly but don't have an idea of where to go to get the information on this. thanks in advance!

Hi Icvette,

Try this download.. On page 14 it describes the hook up hopefully this will help...

If in doubt because of they use white wires, look close at the connector and go by the pin a,b,c they show tying pins b and c together from the stock plug...

thanks Mo! I got a hold of tom last night and we were able to discern the wiring on the car Vs. what MSD had in their instructions.. and Greg today explained that there were several different color wires for the various year vettes with LT1's.. got her fired up tonight.. actually is quieter then what I had been anticipating.. now just have a few small things to neaten up and get the boost gauge installed and get her tuned in.
