Default Would A 50 (dry) Shot Kill a Stock engine

my question is would a 50 Shot of N2O on a Stock L98 kill the engine?? the engine has 100k miles on it but is compression tested and has no leaks oil, vaccuum or otherwise?! springs and rockers are replaced as is push rods

for 50hp shot, you won't feel much of a rush. Waste of time and $$. At least 75hp shot to feel the rush.

dry or wet that another debate...but a 50 shot should be no problem for a stock v8 engine i would start with a 75 shot and go from there

I don't think a dry kit will hurt the engine, as long as its equiped the right stuff to increase fuel pressure when toggled. I ran many of these in my old Mustang days. But, I agree on the 50 hp thing. It's going to be kind of a "hey, that was neat" not a "holy @$&* that was awesome" kinda rush.

I've been running a 125 wet shot for over a year now with no problems on stock L98 internals. Yours should handle a 50 shot without a hitch but like the others have stated, you wont get much gain and will bump it up pretty quick. Done right, a well maintained stock L98 will safely handle a 150 shot, but I emphasize the "done right" part. You can safely spray a 100 shot without timing retard. Just make sure you purge and use all the safety stuff and you'll be ok.

I run a 150 (wet) shot on my L98.

List of things to make it safe... imo
Adj fuel pressure reg
walbro pump (all though I still havnt got mine in LOL)
purge kit
MSD box to take out some timing while on the spray, good rule of thumb is -2* per 50hp.

Go rich at first and tune down and you should be just fine.

BYW I have about 123k on my L98.

Good luck and spray on!
