Default ATI Procharger Pros and Cons

I just bought a 95 LT1 vette and I am thinking of buying the ATI Procharger. Please post your thoughts on this kit as far as pros and cons, also is the kit complete with everything needed or are other parts needed to make it reliable and to achieve max hp. Also my car is stock. Thanks

First of all, welcome to the forum.

You've asked a very broad question. I'd take a step back and figure out what kind of HP you want out of your car. And then decide how much money you want to throw at it. If you give us a little more info on what you want to accomplish we can help steer you in the right direction.


The kit itself has some very well documented pros and cons I would try the search function and you can read all about it. You might want to specify intercooler, belt slip, and tech support in your search on ATI, those are the quick list of downfalls of the kit.


Oh, and are you doing the work yourself or hireing it out??

Well, I'm looking to make a little more than 400 whp with a budget of around $4500 or less. Also, if the install is not too difficult I would be installing it myself.

Check with lcvette. He's putting a procharger in our 95. If you need anything, such as a balancer, as we did then get with Greg from Blowerworks. He seems to be the guru in these matters. He certainly helped us.
