Default DYNO TIME/TUNING. getting there but small problem to fix....

well i'm getting there but thought i would share what i have going on so far. i did a 383 LT1, AFR 210cc heads and all the good stuff to build a blower motor. running a t-trim voretch ( no intercooler but i do plan on running my intercooler in the blue bottle ). having the MC Racing here in KC doing the tuning. so far the car made 460-ish to the rear wheels but falling over at just 4500 rpm. i think i'm floating the valves right @ 5000-ish. once i know more i will get more posted.

Rocker's too tight? Stock valve springs, or maybe weak springs?

AFR 210's should have a valve spring tention of atleast 130 lbs.
What cam do you have in it?

i'm floating valves, i'm using a TPIS zz9x cmashaft with 1.6 rockers. spring pressure is @ 120 which is not enough. i have a big show next weekend in KC so right after the show it's time to change springs and revisit the dyno.... i'm getting there....... the AFR spring was way too much so we changed them and well s#@! happens.

I would use the comp cams beehive spring they won't coil bind and they clear the rockers.

I know that shop really well--one of the better ones in KC! A bit of trivia....that is where they did all the dyno work for the Procharger -vs-Vortech law suit--Corky Bell was brought in as an expert witness and was tasked with overseeing the dyno testing.

There is another guy in JoCo named Tim Reed that specializes in Corvettes and forced inductions application. I met him street racing in KC a number of years ago and again at the PRI show in Orlando this past year. The guys at MC at great but if you ever need someone to give you a second oppinion....

Thanks for the info, i will keep that in mind for sure. i really sold on the valve spring issue as being my hold back but i have not really worried about it for now. i will have the car @ World of Wheels this weekend so i spent my time cleaning it, not trying to tear it down. once i get done with the show i will put more time into it.
