Default Procharger pressure release "use"

Now that I've had the D1 running a little & see how much air the compressor moves. Is anyone taking advantage of the air blowing out the pressure release when not under boost?

I'm thinking run it down to the blow across my aftermarket oil cooler or into the front of the radiator to take advantage of all that air movement instead of it just going to waste.

Anyone have thoughts on that?

you might want to take a temp reading on that air before you consider this option.

Yes, I still need to take some temp readings after "real world" use. I did notice a rapid temp increase when pressure rose but when not under boost where most of the air is being dumped it seemed rather cool??

I'll post some updates hopefully by early next week of temps. Good excuse to pick up one of those remote temp gauges that I can move around under the hood to get some readings.

Its good to see someone finally putting that D-1 to use! I guess you made it through the install OK.

Those temps were in the 230+F range on mine under boost, because the IAT located well after the IC was seeing numbers in the 225F range. I do not think I would be running that across the IC.

Yes, almost ready for a test drive this weekend, I hope. Got sidetracked on the kids bathroom, they cracked the tub & I've had to rip the whole freaking thing out...

I decided to not run the IC or any of that plumbing. I'm prototyping a Vortech F-Body tube to fit the L98 for Greg at Blowerworks. I'm also using one of his base alc/h20 system. A bit of work to go still but it has been "fun".

Fresh air into the exhaust to reduce your HC% and CO% for passing emissions?
Driving a big air horn for when big SUVs try to run you over?

Funny that you mention that. I stuck a Fox 40 whistle into the bypass valve once and REALLY made my procharger whine

And the #1 use for all that hot air:
venting it out then straight up from the wheelwell to duplicate the famous Marilyn Monroe pose when you're out cruisin...

That is the best idea yet.
