Default 2 ecu's to 1989?

I'd like to install to my corvette programmable ECU, but I'd like to keep original dashboard on function. That's why I have planned to make paraller connection. Why I'd like to do this kind of project? Because I'd like to supercharge it also.

Do anyone have good ideas how to "disconnect" motor control from original ECU and still keep it "alive"??? Replace MAF with MAP etc. Is this kind of project possible or only nice dream???

You will only loose three readings from the dash when removing the stock ECM.

* Instant MPG
* Average MPG
* Range to empty tank

When the ECM is not controlling fuel any more those readings does not work anyway ...

The dash uses it's own sensors for all other readings, so they still work.

Default tunable ECU

your stock ECU is programable. You can "do it your self", but it is complicated. tunnercat.com, and moats.com have hardware & software to do it. There are experienced tunners that can do it for you.Members of the forum may make reccomendations on tunners. TPIS.com offers custom tunning, and lingenfelter.com may also do custom tunning.I would'nt use generic chips. Custom tunning is the only way to go. There are tunnable aftermarket ECU's, but you still have to know how to tune it, or learn how to. hope this helps. Keep researching as there are many options available.
