After looking at every web site I could findfow weeks after selling my last ride, that had C3's for sale I decided to take a week off. Last Thursday on a whim I checked Hemmings. Found a 1973 coupe for sale not 5 miles from work. Original condition, 69K miles. After a 2 1/2 hour inspection at Tony's Corvette in Rockville, closed the deal, now she's in the garage waiting for plates. Found all kinds of original paperwork in one of the storage bins behind the seats, Even found a free oil change coupon book from the dealer when the car was delivered. Will post pics soon. Thanks to all for great advice so far...I'm sure I'll need more.
Great story. I found the mid-year I wanted ... three weeks too late because I stopped looking for a while. I had looked everywhere, and this one was only 10-15 miles away! :cuss
