Not sure exactly how nice your friend is looking for, and it's not near New England, but I have a '75, automatic trans with about 96K miles on it, in decent, pretty original condition.

I have a 76' Yellow new GM Performace Crate motor, Edelbrock Pro Flo fuel injection, 4 speed muncie M-21 new poly bushings. Hooker side pipes, In great condtion interior could use a new dash and driver seat. Other than that really really nice, I have the orignal 350 block heads and intake, along w/ the auto tranny that was in it. I'll keep my eyes open, but a mid 70s in the NE area with little rust is a rarity.
Unfortunately, the rubber bumpers seemed to indicate that one could drive
these vettes whenever they pleased. Thus - very few 'good' ones are left
in our area. Best bet is to find a forum member to check out a southern car
and fly down to buy it. IMO

I have a 76 clean Canadian car.
My wife says our 3 babies and a mortgage come first so I am thinking about selling.
I have just finished an extensive refurbishing of it. New professionally built 383 stroker. TH350 auto with shift kit. All new suspension, poly bushings, VB springs, new powersteering, brakes, shocks. New posi rear end 3.55 gears.
New paint, (original rare dark green). White seats and door panels. Original GM rally wheels, new radial TA rubber. Perfect glass, new CD stereo, and the list goes on... I have a certified appraisal for $33,900 CDN and would sell for considerably less. Probably in the $16,000 US range.
The car is beautiful and runs perfectly.
