1969 Corvette originally 427 L88 now has a non original 427 engine $26000

Located in Dover, NJ... Selling at $26000 trying to buy a friends claasic that i want and will have it at this price until it is sold[size=16px]. it is a 1969 Corvette which was originally an L88 the center console under the shift **** has the original metal plate stating it was an L88 427 screws on the plate are original with surface rust on them but don't have docs or original block which original owner never saved, he installed a NON ORIGINAL 427 BB when he raced the Vette back in the 70s. Selling because a friend is selling his classic car which i wanted to buy for years and don't have room to get another car, price is based on not having original engine or docs of being an original427 L88. This Corvette was built by original owner who was a GM employee and in the 70s he hill climb raced it in PA and stopped racing in the late 70s, Was set up to race it has Aluminum head, big cam, pistons, ZL1 water pump etc., M21 with what looks like a factory steel blowshield, still trying to identify and a 3:70 heavy duty rear. Vintage ARE wheels, side exhaust, original engine and transmission not available. Has aftermarket long L88 hood and factory headrest buckets seats.. Brutal machine, originally no power brakes, no power steering, now has electronic power steering, has EFI electronic Fuel injection and have the original Holley carburetor. Has tremendous power, needs to be driven for EFI to run great properly. New gas tank, has Wilwood brakes. Has Real GM LeMans racing style headlight buckets, one of the acrylics was cracked and bonded together by prior owner with fiberglass. Front carpet installed and rear carpets available but needs to be installed. Fiberglass on body has no cracks, only a chip on the door edge, frame is in good condition, no rot very little surface rust on them. Selling with cash on pickup, no shipping PICKUP ONLY. That car looks cool as it sits, and with a little dusting off should offer more fun per dollar than anything comparable in price, regardless of whether it is an original L88. If the original owner ("GM engineer who raced it") is known some of the pedigree should be verifiable. Good luck with sale.
