Yeah my 200K prediction was basically a joke...Ok 81K .....I mean I know it’s an LT-1 but wasn’t the 72 the least powerful of the Lt-1 series ?
These have to be collectors buying these cars ....To pay almost 100K for a Vette that basically looks like the rest of the corvettes produced I think is not someone who wants to thoroughly enjoy the car...
Enjoying meaning actually driving the crap out of it...

Yes ‘72 was lowest horsepower of the LT-1. ‘72 was the only year you get air conditioning and the LT-1 package. Only 240 LT-1 with A/C were built with this package. Not sure how many were coupes and how many were convertibles. I thinks (?) 25 were convertibles. Correct me if I am wrong.

The 72 LT1 with AC is a sought after corvette and a nice coupe with original motor and docs should bring 70-80k with convertibles approaching near or over the 100k mark. When you have a low production desirable engine option car, there will always be more than one buyer which pushes these prices up.

Personally never been a fan of paying a premium for air conditioning in a C2 or C3. Would rather put that extra money towards a better car, more desirable year and/or other valued aspect of these cars. In this case, the money spent puts you in the range of a comparable ‘70 LT-1.

...a blue interior would be my favorite with a white exterior. Red would be my 2nd choice though. Green would've been kinda cool too, but I think that was only '70/'71.

I have seen 72 LT1 AC coupes bring in the 60's to 80's range in a few recent sales. Convertible LT1's with AC are bring over 100k. When you get into that kind of money for a 72 LT1 coupe, having the original driveline, original paperwork and a desirable color combo will add a premium. The car on BAT is a great example. However the color combo may keep the bidding from being another crazy BAT bidding frenzy at the finish line. Just have to see...
Regarding the color combo of this particular car, white has never been a preference of mine. If I did end up with a white one however, saddle would be a fine choice. Could very well be my first choice the more I think about it. To each his own I guess.

I don’t get the whole AC thing on a C3...Don’t even get me started on a convertible C3.....I guess I can understand if you want an all original numbers matching car w AC...
To pay over 80 grand to me is a major stretch for one with an AC.....
I had my top up maybe a handful of times in 19 years on my 73....I could not imagine driving that car in the rain with the top up , a dirty rear plastic window and no passenger side mirror and no seat belts...OMG..

In Texas it is needed. I even have it on with the top down on hot days.
I have the convertible version of that car except mine is now Brands Hatch Green.

I actually enjoy driving my Vette in winter and spring....Car runs so much better in cold air..When it’s hot and humid in the northeast the car is in the garage ....
