Huh.
The bidding jumped from $48,200 where it sat for a couple of days to $82,200. Exceptional car as described and shown in pics and videos. But......
And EBay needs 2 bidders to substantially move the top bid at this pace.
....and interestingly the reserve hasn’t been met?
I thought maybe 50k-55k would buy the car as it sits. With the awards, the buyer could justify more......
Time to clean up my ‘70 LT-1. 😊😊

it's a great car and reaffirms that original, unrestored cars with factory paperwork still bring the top dollar. IMHO though it is still a steep price for a 72 coupe. I have seen similar cars trade hands in the 50-60k range.

I don’t believe those bids for a second. Ad states private seller. I googled the seller’s name and he is a dealer with some public legal matters that would cause me to think twice…

Yes and it really makes no difference who owned the car. All you need with an EBay listing are 1 or two buddies with different IP addresses to bid a car up. They can do this right under the reserve hoping to sucker a REAL uneducated bidder in that thinks others believe the car to be worth that kind of money. eBay unsold auctions are not a good source to evaluate prices from.

That might be a typical head-scratching bid at one of the big-name car auctions, but you rarely if ever see this type of action on Ebay, even for top-notch cars. Unless things have really changed for LT-1s in the last year, current bid is way way beyond sanity.

From the Pics and Video the Paint for All Original looks Unbelievable. A Price tag of about 70 k would not be out of line Beautiful looking LT-1 with Great Factory Docs

Not Surprised
Auction ended at $82,200 reserve not met.
After accelerating the bid $40k the “high bidders” must have got cold feet,,,,,or something.
