Default Looking for a chrome bumper c3 project car

Hi all, I'm getting the itch to build something again and I'm going back to the Vette world! I've owned a c6, a worked c7, and then became a Porsche guy, so it's been a few years... but I miss the v8!
I've always wanted to build a c3 and I think this may be the last time I get to do that before marriage and kids hit me in the next year or 2, so I want to build something to pass on later in life.

Looking for a 68-72 T-TOPS COUPE + MANUAL, mainly with a clean body. No engine is not a deal breaker, as I have plans for that. I'd ideally like it to be black with a red interior, but again not a deal breaker.

I'd take a 73 but I've always had a double chrome bumper car in mind.

74+ I'd entertain if the price was right, but it would have to have the right color options, mods, etc...

I'm looking to spend 15k and under, depending on what's done to it and the overall condition. I'm in NJ but if someone outside of 3hrs is willing to assist a shipping company with proper pickup then I'm game for that too (obviously I'd pay for that, you'd just need to help them load it up)

If anyone has something or a lead please let me know! Thanks!

-Al

This why they make HARD-TOPS! I've got both. So add $800-1000 and BINGO!

You're not really saying that t-tops don't leak, right?

Haha, no I mean as far as the top tearing from rubbing etc... and getting worn through. In all likelihood the car wouldn't see inclement weather, but still just prefer the t top!

Yes. I'm in talks with another member now but nothing finalized. I've run into a lot of scams on the way too!

I don't know how to post a picture of mine, but I have a 71 coupe, 4 speed, 454 engine, power steering, power brakes, tilt/tele
red w/black interior. original silver with black interior. Rally wheels, new bf goodrich t/a tires. Oh i just looked again and saw the 15k you wanted to spend. Mine is a light project just tinkering from sitting, paint and body are good and interior is good mine would be in the 26k range.
it is a nice driver that just needs some light work, like the headlights wont pop up and the wiper door wont pop open, probably a vaccum issue

Only 10.5K and looks more than half done!

Yeah, I had spoken with him a few weeks ago. Issue was that the frame is still separated from the body and he had no way to get the two back together for transport.

Thanks to all that helped, but I ended up finding a 68 big block 4 speed from a member on here. Around 11hrs round trip to get it, but it's sitting nicely in my garage, and the seller was great to work with!! I'll start a thread about it this upcoming week
