I'll get some under-hood pics tomorrow and post them up.
The bird cage looks good, the suspension is original, but it's in decent shape. All of the front-end steering software has been replaced. AC works like a champ!

Default great deal!

Is it an early or late production 76? How are the a arm bushings? Did you only do compressor and hoses? What town in Illinois? I may have a friend who is interested.

Hello, it is a "late" production model, but with the '76 that doesn't mean too much since the production parts were all over the place as far as late or early.
The front control arm bushings were replaced with new at the same time the other front end steering software components were replaced in 2018 (Upper/lower ball joints, tie rod ends, A-arm bushings, sway bar links).
The rear control arm bushings were replaced in 2012, but none of the rear suspension was touched.
The compressor, pulley, belt, and condenser were replaced with new, and the VIR was serviced with a new desiccant pack. That was done in 2018.
I'm right around Rockford, IL.
If your friend wants to check it out, let me know.

It seems the cat was misplaced, but the evap canister and EGR are all in working order. The charcoal hasn't been replaced in the canister. I see you're in California, I'm not sure what all you'll need over that way.

No rot in the rear. A few of the rubber components have seen better days, but haven't we all?
The mufflers were in pretty bad shape (almost not there anymore) when I got it, but those have been replaced along with the rest of the exhaust.

Yeah, When I posted this the weather wasn’t the greatest outside, so I used some pics of when I had it in SC.

Came with the fancy valve covers when I bought it 8 years ago. It is most certainly an L42.
