Hi guys. I'm selling my clean titled 1978 Anniversary Edition Corvette Black/Black. 130k+ miles on the body. 383 has about 20-30k. I've had this car since 2003, but I simply don't have time time or money to put into it anymore, so she's up for sale. It was my daily driver for 4 years, then a weekend toy for a few years, and now she's just been sitting in the garage getting a crank every now and then to keep her awake!
I'll get the little things out of the way first so there aren't any surprises:
A/C works but is pretty weak. No CD player or radio in dash currently. Speedometer doesn't light up- I think there's a short somewhere. Sometimes when I hit a bump it will flick back on. Paint job has a few minor flaws (a little spidercracking on front bumper), but overall very nice. Interior could use some TLC. It's by no means in terrible condition- it's just what you'd expect for its age as you can see from the pics. Needs some new weather stripping. Headlights have a suction problem- they need to be lifted up. Other than that they work properly and drop down just fine. If the glove box is opened it will take a little patience to get locked back into place but will close properly. Rear bumper is currently missing the corvette emblem but I do have a new one and it comes with the sale.
On to the good:
• 383 stroker engine, double pump 750 holly carb, edelbroke intake, competition crank, 278 cam, eagle rods, flat forged pistons, roller rockers, manly pro flow valves.
• Rebuilt transmission with 2000 holeshot torque converter, 355 rear end, straight pipes w/o cats and Flowmaster exhaust.
• Boyd Coddington Timeless 5 wheels with Nitto NT555s. 245/45ZR/17 fronts with 275/40R/17 rears.
The power windows work properly. All signals and brake lights work properly. That pretty much sums it up! If you live near Louisiana it's worth the drive to come see and test drive it!
I also have the original engine for sale. The rebuilt original engine has forged pistons, Eagle rods, roller rockers and a 268 cam in it. I have over $3,600 in the rebuild. I'd be willing to sell the vette w/383, the boyd wheels, original rally wheels, AND the original rebuilt engine all together for $7,000.
If you have any questions or want some more pictures just let me know. Thanks!
