1972 Coupe 350/4 speed. Matching numbers drivetrain. 87k original miles. Power steering, power brakes, tilt/tele wheel.

The engine was totally rebuilt in 2012 by a shop in AZ (the car is from AZ). It also had the trans serviced and a new clutch installed. The car runs and drives great.

It has new exhaust, new gas tank, new brakes including lines and front calipers, new shocks, new carpet, new seats (foam and covers), new e-brake console and arm rest, new door panels and exterior door handles as well as new door sill plates, it also has a new radio from custom auto sound with aux input. I'm sure there is more new but that's what I came up with off the top of my head. I have receipts for almost everything that will go with the car.

The car is in great driver shape but could use a few things to make it perfect. The paint is good but not spectacular (it looks great from 10 feet). The gas gauge works intermittently but everything else functions correctly. The driver's side headlight bucket is cracked but I have new replacements for both that just need painted and installed. The rear bumper chrome is starting to show it's age and could use freshening up. I also have new seatbelts that just need to be installed. All of the new parts will go with the car as well as all of the paperwork I have.

My wife and I got the car to enjoy and drive but a cross country military move has changed our plans. Please let me know if anyone would like additional information or more photos. I have tried to list as much as possible and be as thorough as possible. .

I should also mention that when I got the car the interior was mostly removed and the metal "birdcage" around the cabin looks to be in great shape, as is the actual frame.

Sorry about that, I had the price and location in the original post but when I edited I deleted them without realizing it.

The car is in Fayetteville, NC. My original asking price was $20k but I told everyone that inquired about the car yesterday that what I would like to get is $18k. However, if someone makes a serious offer I am willing to negotiate further. I am in a time crunch, but I am not going to completely give the car away. That being said, I would have a hard time saying no to a reasonable cash offer...

To answer several questions at once....

No members that I know of have seen the car. I will take some additional pictures today and post them to the forum.

As far as what I can tell you, first let me say that I am NOT a Corvette expert. This is my first vette. I picked the car up last year in a trade for a resto-modded 69 impala that I had gotten bored with. I have tracked down one owner before the guy I got the car from. The car came from Arizona and was sold to the PO on ebay for just over 20k. I pasted a link below to the C3 registry so that you can see what that owner listed about the car.

The guy that bought the car on ebay had it shipped from AZ to NC. He then pulled the interior out with plans to restore it, but he got in over his head. I got the car with all of the interior in boxes. I had new carpet, seats (covers and foam), door panels, radio, etc installed. The only part of the interior that shows any real wear is the shifter console. It just has some scratches.

To my knowledge the entire drivetrain was rebuilt in 2012 by a shop in Scottsdale, AZ. The car runs and drives great. It does have the original quadrajet carb and points style distributor, so it sometimes requires some love to start when it's cold or sits for a while.

The car is a great driver and would probably be a good candidate for a ncrs type restore because it's a numbers matching car. The paint isn't perfect, it has been resprayed at some point but it looks ok. The rear bumpers could stand to be rechromed as well, but again, they aren't bad.

I don't know if this is going to wok or not but ill try it. These pictures are bad because of the bright sunlight but it gives you the idea. There is no rust on the frame, the texture you see on the frame in these pics is some sort of undercoat sprayed by a PO.
