Wanted: Black C3
WTB: 68-70 Black C3 Convertible
I have been on the search for the past four months now for my dream car and haven't had a whole lot of luck finding that perfect one within my price range and not a 10 year project car. I'll try to keep this short, but if anyone could help me in finding this, I'd greatly appreciate it:
Preferences:
- Black (doesn't have to be original, but would prefer it)
- Interior NOT red (prefer black, but will settle for the variations of tans)
- Chrome bumpered
- Manual Transmission
- 68-70
- Convertible
- Original or matching numbers engine (preferably 427 Tri-Power)
- Good weekend driver that won't require too much extra work (I'll be honest, not really what I'm looking for)
- All in all well maintained.
Please help, and if there's any other information I can provide, either reply to my post (so my answer may be public) or shoot me a PM.
Thanks everyone and my fingers are crossed!

You probably should state what your price range is. If you want black that narrows it down year wise unless the car has been repainted in a non original color. 69 was the last year I believe for original production black until around 77. There is a black 81 on the forum for sale that has been converted to a convertible for $10,500. Good luck in your search.

Where are you at aschmitt23? Price range? My car will be coming up for sale soon. I just have to get the engine right.
It would only need a few minor issues to be addressed and paint.
Once I get the car to Florida and get some up to date pics, I'll post it up for sale on here. Should only be about a month at the most since we are about to go on spring break vacation.
Here is a links for you to check out in the mean time:

Located in Indiana. Looking for 68-76, considering all prices really, but have a certain range I'm thinking of. I don't mind if it is not original paint, just want black.

I just bought a '72 black/black convert last month (with an automatic and awesome wire wheels). Phenomenal shape. Unfortunately the roads have been so salty and slushy here in the Midwest that I have only got to drive it once since I received it! But it sure looks nice sitting in the garage
