FS 68 427/400 4Spd BG SURVIVOR Certified and NCRS Top Flight Coupe
SOLD!!! 1968 Corvette 427ci. 400 hsp. 3X2 Tri-power 4spd. Coupe. This is a fully documented Bloomington Gold Certified SURVIVOR and a NCRS Regional Top Flight award winner. I have owned this car for over 10 years. The car with its original International Blue exterior and Medium Blue interior with all original matching numbers and date codes is a timeless beauty. The car is nicely optioned with power steering, power windows, power brakes, fully transistorized ignition, deluxe wheel covers, AM/FM radio, tinted glass, red stripe tires, shoulder belts, positraction rear end and M20 4 speed trans.
The car is currently featured in Richard Prince' "Corvette 1968-1982 Corvette Restoration Guide, 2nd Edition” and was featured in the December 2012 issue of “Vette” magazine.

This car has been, and can be used as a benchmark for future restorations with original parts and correct finishes. Many of the factory chalk and inspection marks still remain. The gas tank and radiator have been replaced with exact reproductions but I have the originals that will go with the car. I took the tank down to save the sticker and decided to put a new Quanta exact replacement tank in. The radiator had a leak and I thought it best to replace it with a DeWitt's Exact Replacement. The documentation includes the original Protect-O-Plate, tank sticker, dealer checklist, key envelope, shoulder belt notification, wheel removal card, AM/FM radio card, radio instruction pamphlet and all necessary glove-box paperwork for the most discerning judging venue. According to GM experts, this is one of the first coupes with a 427 to be built. Convertibles were exclusively built up until the 2nd or 3rd week in January. This is a January 22 built car.
Here is a partial list of those key numbers that sets these cars apart from the ordinary: Trim tag Date F22, Paint 978, Interior trim 414, Engine stamp T0111IM S409643, 3916321 block cast date L-277, alternator 1100696 7K10, starter 1107365 7M12, trans code P8R26A, TI distributor 1111294 7K16, air pump 0471Y, carb’s (1) EW 7A4 (2) EU 7A1, fuel pump 440659, voltage regulator 1119515 7M, Keys 0N96 & 2R66, fan clutch 4-8-1968, intake 3919850, exhaust 3880827 & 3880828, windshield ASI CZ, jack L7.etc. etc. The successful bidder will also receive items that I have accumulated with the car as well as the custom Wolf car cover. Asking $42,000 and all reasonable offers considered.

I thought when you pulled this amazing car off the FS market I would never see it again, hate to see you try and part with it again, but GLWTS, are you buying a new toy to replace this beauty?

Wow...what a spectacular car... I'm in the market for a BB coupe, but just a bit more than I'm looking to spend and I'm dead set on a side pipe car... there is no way I could even think about adding them to a car like yours
Good luck with the sale
