1982 For Sale
Hi Everyone,
I've been on this forum for a few years now so it seems appropriate that I post my corvette for sale here and give you all a chance to tell me whether you want it, it's overpriced, it's gaudy looking, or I'm delusional, etc.
I'm in San Jose, CA. The price is $9,999.
If you want details on what I've done, it's pretty much:
Shocks
Rear Spring
Calipers on all 4 corners
Brake Lines
Aluminum radiator
Upgraded alternator
Remote Central Locking (+alarm)
Sports Steering wheel, but I have the original
Upgraded the sound system and hid an amp behind the seat - looks good, sounds great (i put Dynamat in the back)
Gel Battery
New Starter
I'm sure there's been more but without going through receipts, which you are welcome to do if you want to, I can't remember.
Everything that needed to be done was done.
Email me if you are interested: autimous@gmail.com
My wife and I are moving to a high rise and so that's not the best environment for me to keep my hobby going

You're the man. You're like Shawn Spencer. I see it now. In one photo the speedy goes to 140 and in the other pic it goes to 165.
I'm currently in the market for a '77 thru '80. Can I call upon you to scrutinize any seller's posts?

I'm thankful for the feedback. I like the scrutiny
I've been prowling this site for years and I've developed a great respect for my fellow forum, so I genuinely did put those pictures up for feedback (or a sale).
Now if anyone can give me a hint as to whether I've over priced it or not, that would be great!
I'm out in San Jose, and there isn't an abundance of similar cars for sale. I've only had one serious buyer come to look at it, and he was just window shopping.
I'll likely get more interest in the summer, I suppose.
Happy Monday everyone!

Is that colour original? If so, is it code 26 dark blue or code 31 bright blue?

Not in the market. Actually a C4 guy but I used to own an 81 that had been professionally converted to a convertible. I rebuilt and hopped up the engine and spent a lot of time in, under and all around that car.
I have always had a soft spot for the 80-82 body style and so every once in a while I cruise over here to see whats up.
I think you are in the ball park. If I was a buyer the only questions I would have is how many miles are on her, has the transmission ever been rebuilt and has the injection system ever been rebuilt.
If I were you I would spend a little money on having a professional set of photos made. Or, if money is tight just take a look at a few car magazines and see how they use light and different physical settings to enhance the lines. Do the same thing they did.
I am sure there are plenty of beautiful settings out there where you can stage some great photos (says a jealous Michigan resident who is currently experiencing a snow storm )
Good luck - your car is a beauty
