Initially assembled on October 22, 1980, this is one of the last Corvettes to roll out of the St. Louis assembly plant before all production was transferred to the Bowling Green plant. Showing just 10,604 miles on its odometer and sporting a clean Carfax, this car's paint looks to be mostly original, and is in good to very good condition. Glass t-tops are in very good to excellent condition, with soft perimeter trim and no cracks. All exterior glass on this car shows a correct date code, including these t-tops. Exterior door handles look to be original, and are in very good condition. Taillights are in very good condition with no cracks, and the original weatherstripping is in overall good condition as well. Factory slotted aluminum wheels are in good to very good condition with no curb rash and very good condition center caps, and wear a set of BRAND NEW BF Goodrich Radial T/A raised white letter tires, in the correct 255/60/15 size. The interior of this 1981 Corvette looks to be nearly all original, and shows very good condition factory leather seat covers, and very good to excellent condition door panels, seatbelts, and dash pad. Gauges are in very good to excellent condition as well, with no fading and clear lenses. Center console is in very good condition, and the original steering wheel is in good to very good condition with typical light wear from age. Carpet is in very good condition. T-top bags and strap are present, with very good condition storage bins. Door panel armrests look to be original, and are in good condition. Amazingly, the passenger side vanity mirror is completely intact! A vintage Alpine 7135 AM/FM/Cassette stereo has been installed in place of the original ETR stereo, and looks to be about the same age as the car. The numbers matching engine in this 1981 Corvette shows original casting date September 23, 1980, and final assembly date October 15, 1980. Correct ignition shielding, intake manifold, carburetor, air cleaner, air pump, hoses, and exhaust manifolds are all in place, and the air conditioning blows cold. Frame is solid and rust-free. The power locks, cruise control, and power driver's seat are not currently working on this car. This car has been fully serviced, and all instrument gauges, lights, turn signals, brakes, engine, transmission and rear-end are all in good operating condition.
