FS/Feeler '73 Vert 4 spd
Looking to see if there is any interest in a numbers matching '73 vert. This is a sb, 4 spd with power steering and t/t wheel. The odometer reads 80K miles that I believe to be correct by the condition of the car and the matching title. I have owned this car 7 years and enjoyed every minute but I've got the bug to go fast again and 2 toys just won't fly with the finance committee. So rather than tear up a numbers matching car to go racing, I thought I would try to sell it to somebody to preserve and enjoy. If not, chop-chop.
OK, here's the story. I bought the car in mid-restoration. The frame was off the car and painted. The original motor was rebuilt by Corvette Paramedics of New Jersey. It now sports 350 HP with 10:1 pistons . I added the headers with 2 1/2" exhaust and Mallory Unilite ignition for performance and reliability. I also had them re-do the rear suspension with the TRW fiberglass mono-leaf spring (I highly recommend this addition)
Finally, the paint and body work were done by a local Corvette specialist who did an incredible job with the body and seams. Far straighter than anything from GM back in the day. The body was stripped down to the gel coat and inspected. Initially looked like a no-hit body, but we did find some minor work done around the right rear that was cleaned up. The car was painted using the original 927 bc/cc paint code by Dupont. A really great color on this car, pictures don't do it justice. Last summer I had a new top installed by Al Knoch interiors at Carlisle. The seats and rugs are perfect.
Now the needs; the interior is not 100% done. The car was originally a medium tan interior which was changed before I got it.I have been collecting tan interior parts to convert it back. So far I have a set of NOS door panels (not repros) and seat covers that are perfect.
I'm looking to get $22K for the whole package. I'm located in SE Pa if anyone wants to come inspect it.
Thanks.
