For Sale: 1968 Convertible
Here's the basics...
1968 Cordovan Maroon (second fewest in production colors)
327/300
4 speed
black interior
81,000 on odometer
p/s, p/b
This is a very straight, clean car.
Drives like new
no rattles or squeeks
impeccably well cared for
always garaged
no rust, solid frame and birdcage
I don't believe this car has ever seen much rain
certainly not since I've owned it
Chrome like new, paint has very minor imperfections only seen up close
Very straight panels and great gaps all around.
Have factory hardtop(black), ragtop black as well in fair condition with a small tear.
Engine compartment in excellent condition with all sheilding.
Routine maitenance performed for a 44 year old car. All parts with exception of brakes with top of line parts.
All numbers match vin(block, tranny, rear end etc.)
Kids coming up on college and one starting private school this fall.
I'll admit I stumbled onto this car...had an '80 before and had to sell it for loss of business....loooked for another and didn't realize it was such a survivor until I really got into it. It should go to someone who might keep it for its' originality. I'll get another someday.
$25,000 Firm.
Will e-mail pictures to serious buyers only.
Those on the forum may know this car by her nickname "Marilyn"
A search for Marilyn in the c3 section will bring up a bunch of photos I posted including the 1968 photo thread.
I will be heartbroken to give her up but family comes first.

....very, very nice '68 roadster, love that color. Do you have the original valve covers and A.I.R. system? Ad says it has power brakes, but the pic shows a manual brake master cylinder. Does it now have power brakes installed??? Thanks '68!!!

oooppsss.
My bad...It does not have power brakes.
Type faster than my brain can think.
Sadly..the original valve covers and AIR system are missing.
I believe the AIR went the way most did shortly after it hit the road in 68.
Altho it would be nice to have the original valve covers, I always liked the look of the fins and script.
I am always amazed at how great this convertible drives. Most notably how smooth and quiet. I have been around a lot of muscle cars from that era and they all shake rattle and roll. For some reason this one doesn't..lol
And boy...she really likes to run through the gears.
Thanks for the reply.

The car looks great and have the original drivetrain
Is it a east coast car since new?
I am looking for a 1968-72 Corvette but a little bit less in price
