Default PRICE DROP F/S 1980 4-speed red/red, loaded, fresh engine, trans, etc. $13,500 [UT]

PRICE REDUCED: $13,500

1980 Corvette, clean, never wrecked, #s matching, and everything's been redone. This car was loaded with all available options, has been babied by me and the 2 previous owners, and I've just redone all the major (expensive) stuff. Built to last...I planned on keeping it forever...turns out kids cost a lot more than I thought.

HD Video: http://youtu.be/V0IY2Pns34Q
36 Photos: https://picasaweb.google.com/1146360...0/1980Corvette

Details
Rebuilt 350/350 with all new heavy-duty components: water pump, coil, clutch, starter, fan clutch, fuel pump, Edelbrock Performer ceramic-coated intake manifold, Edelbrock air cleaner, K&N filter, wires, belts, hoses, etc. All the good stuff - I can provide details for each part on request.

Freshly rebuilt original Super T10 4-speed manual transmission including all new countershaft, brass, synchros, etc.

New 355 rear diff: strong, tight, aluminum housing, and speedometer was regeared to match

New Edelbrock 600CFM 4-barrel electric choke carburetor with custom jets & metering rods (calibrated for Salt Lake City altitude / conditions)

New Exhaust:
* Magnaflow XL Turbo mufflers (with lifetime warranty)
* Stock-style chrome tips
* Dual DMH e-cutout electric butterfly valves - a convenient switch hidden in the ashtray lets you go from the deep, throaty Magnaflows to in-your-face, wide-open headers
* No cat (hollow body)

New suspension: Bilstein Sport shocks, fiberglass leaf spring, heavy-duty u-joints, polyurethane bushings, and fresh 4-wheel alignment

Alpine CD player with remote

New Firehawk Indy 500 tires

Extras: all original equipment including numbers-matching engine with original carburetor, air ducting, etc [engine on stand, everything on a pallet wrapped & ready]; extremely rare complete V-54 Roof Panel (T-top) Carrier kit option in original red leather pouch; orig spare tire holder and scissor jack kit; 8-track player; t-top carrying pouches; custom-fit Wolf cover; owners manual

This car is exceptionally clean and in excellent condition. Starts right up every time and runs VERY strong. Never been wrecked. Recently won at a car show.

Near SLC, UT.

I was having trouble figuring that out - I edited the original post to include a few of the pics from the link.

Very nice.
Would you think the mileage is 58k, or closer to 158k ?
Should go pretty quick at that price. good luck. wish i had a spare $15k sitting around.

Good question, wish I knew...I can't find proof either way. It could have turned over once, but every other Corvette guy who's seen the car says there's nowhere near enough wear on the car for that. The interior is original, and when I bought it with 45k on it, the original engine was still going strong. Well, I guess "strong" is relative... 190 hp just didn't do it for me

Thanks for asking. Fiberglass is perfect, hasn't ever had any damage or work done. Paint is 8/10, with some wear / rock chips. Not show quality, but looks great from 10 feet back. Most of the paint is original, but the front bumper & hood were repainted in about 2005.

Good question - I'd guess about 350ish crank / 300ish wheel.

Is the NM engine included in the price? Is the ACT working? Any birdcage rust? May be time for a road trip to SLC. Plus you have In n out.

Thanks for the bump. Guess the little SLC market out here just takes a bit longer. I figured it'd go after spring weather + tax returns hit...

Yep, the original block is on an engine stand with orig carb, ducting, etc., original spare tire (unused), carrier, jack, etc. - all ready to go with the car.
A/C was recently serviced with a new rebuilt compressor, blows cold, but still has a small leak and needs to be topped off every once in awhile. I thought about converting to R134a but never did.
I haven't seen any rust, and don't expect to since this car hibernates while the Utah roads are covered in salt.

Oh you mean In-N-Camp-Out? There's one a mile from my house, and I enjoy a nice 8-minute massage as my rumbling engine idles whenever I hit up the drive thru

I was at one there about 5 weeks after it opened. It was packed. An old guy in line behind me said he could not wait for the newness to wear of. He said the lines will be gone then. I asked him if he had ever been to LA. He said no. I said thought so. This will not end.

Do you know where the AC leak is? Do you have all the electronics for the original engine?
