Default SRIII framed - 68-72 Has anyone seen one for sale?

I'm looking for a 1968-1972 (preferably a big block / stick) Corvette built on an SRIII chassis. I looked for awhile for just a chassis and there are very few, if any, ever being sold. Which makes sense, but I am wondering if anyone is selling or knows of someone selling a vehicle fitting my description.

Thanks everyone.

(I would build one with my '68 but they have me deployed to Iraq and other places so often that it seems unlikely that I will ever have the time)

Might as well give it up. ........... If you really want one ? ... Call up Mike.... Send in your deposit and get in line. The only other way to get a SRIII frame is under someones completed project. Believe me ......I know.

I know I've had an ad posted in the parts wanted section for awhile now. This ad is because I'm interested in a 68-72 completed car with an SRIII chassis under it.

There was a blue SRIII C3 for sale not that long ago in this section. It was a completed custom LS6 build and the guy wanted some serious bucks for it. Do a search.

I've done lots of searches on here and on various vette websites, it's nearly impossible to find an SRIII C3 (especially a 68-72) thats why I was outsourcing.

I believe you are refering to the '81 that was for sale on here. I actual thought that was an outstanding deal, and I would have snatched up for that in a sec, I just want a chrome bumper car.

What you are attempting to purchase is what I am seriously thinking about building at some point! Good taste.

Best of luck with your search.

By the way, what is the current wait for a completed chassis from SR3?

Default time

Yeah I think I'm gonna have to build it. Nobody seems to know of any on sale.

Just talked to SRIII a day or two ago, 10 weeks is the wait time for a bare frame.

What is your budget these cars cost $40,000 and up to build plus labor
I have a 69 conv. on a Jamison frame very similar with a LS1 might sell when my 63 coupe is finished.

I'm really partial to the SRIII frames but it looks like your Jamison frame is a little different that what I'm familiar with from them. I can't quite see it from your picture but it almost looks like the three round tube construction I'm used to seeing only in SRIII frames. I'm by no means an expert on them, I just don't recall seeing them built like that.

As for my price range that's specific to the car but your mention of $40k for the car above seems to be a fair price without knowing to many of the details.

For my personal project I was looking for a big block and at least a Dana 44 but that's nothing I couldn't change down the road anyway.

If you do list your car for sale, please let me know. My email address is airborne1504@msn.com

bump - Still looking for a car or frame. I'd also like a basket case 68-72 with title, to use on the chassis.

I really have my heart set on an SRIII but you do have an amazing frame, what's your asking price?

It's not an SRIII, but I've got a really nice resto-mod C3 chassis in South Dakota for sale: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c3-p...-for-sale.html

If you are interested in a Street Shop C3 chassis with C4 suspension (requires no body modifications), for the right price I might sell the one I bought, and I'd just go back to my original chassis.

The street shop chassis would be my minimum, but I just passed up a (what I consider) a fairly good project one on ebay. I'm really interested in an SRIII chassis. From an engineering standpoint it seems like the best design to me. You're more than welcome to PM me about your Street Shop chassis and asking price though.
