Default 76 L88

A friend of mine is selling his 76 L88 and i was wondering what the car was worth. It's a red L88 with stock exterior (repainted), redone interior (some aftermarket), and a 350 ato tranny with aftermarket heads and a couple other modifications done. I'm not sure on the milage but i know it's under 50k. Any advice is more than apreciated thx in advance.

There is no such thing as a 1976 L-88. Not unless an L-88 427 engine was added to the car later, but it wasn't offered that way from the factory.

IF the engine IS an L-88 and that can be documented for proof, then the car might be worth better than average prices. However, keep in mind that an L-88 engine couldn't hope to pass emissions if there's a smog test in the buyer's area.

The values depend heavily on condition, and values do not usually correspond with how much it could actually be sold for. If it is a one-off engined Corvette like that, all I could suggest is to take it to a street rod shop and see if you can have it appraised.

Do you not mean "L82", one of two factory engines (the higher perf. version) available that year??
