Here's another bump for this great Vette! I'm surprised no one has grabbed it by now!
Keep at it. It took 8 months to sell my 70. As nice as your Vette is, the market isn't so nice for hobby cars.

Pity I was ready to buy it almost 1 month ago but your problem was,
I'm a foreigner.
Now I found an 68 yellow convertible in Florida.
Good luck with you sale and be also open with non US buyers.

Sorry Ralle. I'm one of the many who have heard more horror stories than success stories. it was nothing personal, just didn't have a comfort level with an out of country transaction. Glad you found what you were looking for!

hello, I know that scams you hear from us Europeans?
for my curiosity.
usually, at least in Italy the way we buy cars in the U.S., we send a bank transfer and then when the owner
receives the money, we send the truck to take the car.
risk in the end only we, but maybe it works differently in other European countries

There is no risk with a European transaction if you do it the right way and have patience (see the post in the C2 section). Wire transfer into a new bank account that you set-up, verify fund transfer with the bank, allow buyer to have title and they arrange shipment. I just did one last year. There's alot of uninformed people on this forum that create fear because they don't understand how things work.

I usually before sending the money to the seller, ask to do an inspection of the car (with http://www.carchex.com/)
above all, to be sure that the car exists, for now I bought a Dodge Challenger R / T 440 and a FFR Cobra

Yes, The guy from England sent 2 "friends" to look over my roadrunner before he transferred the funds. It took around a week for the funds to transfer and then I called my bank to verify just to be safe. He had purchased 4 cars this way because the dollar/pound ratio is so soft. Its really not that challenging if you do it the right way.

It's how the global economy operates. Same level of risk selling in the states. I bought my 68 vert this past May after arranging a 3rd party inspection. Funds were sent, car arrived. No Fear! It's only money.

SOLD!!!!!
On it's way to a new home in Kansas. Picked up yesterday.
Wound up taking 26k for it. Happy with that price. Received many low 20s offers but stuck it out and got what I wanted. Be patient if selling.
Now to find it's replacement!
