The free guides don't hold much value for me. I glean more from the subscription services which are real time and empirical.

Default value

It would be nice, if there even close, thin I could sell mine as an average for 23,000 and get my money back, some one would end up with a good DD car worth 30,000 and we could both be happy Thanks for the INFO.

I think these are useful for comparing one model to another. Also useful if you're trying to see how the market has changed over a period of time.

You are right though, I've seen these numbers quoted in advertisements as a justification for ridiculous asking prices.

Of course, this wasn't free either. The OP either has a subscription or bought the magazine.

Default 72 #s BB

I have a 72 #s BB with air, and all the other goodies, in show winner/very good condition and a 7% increase... yikes and I only wanted $35,500.

Love to know where they obtained their data. I am a bit skeptical as an owner of a very nice 70 vert 350/350.

To me these are just figures. I bet these people don't have a clue what Bob paid John on a weekend for a certain car. Maybe 10 years ago when times were better, Nuff Said

Yes the economy is the big factor, but the wow factor is artificial and prompted by something.....mainly perception.

To me show ready is a high standard, but for cars that meet that standard the those numbers are justified IMO.

Trying to pretend your car is worth more than it is doesn't artificially drive your car's value up. It makes you look like one of those delusional Corvette owners that will never sell their cars.

Do you really think you are the first persons to say, "hey let's all get together and make believe our 1984 is worth $25,000... then everyone will believe it!!"

And, posting up ANOTHER thread with this same page AGAIN is getting less interesting every day, especially with the silly fantasy prices.

Oh, by the way, drop by my house with the $58k that you guys agree my car is worth, and maybe I'll play your fantasy game...
